About Bob
Bob's career in music spans three decades and has taken him all over North America. His formal training was at Philadelphia’s University of the Arts, where he majored in composition, and had several of his compositions performed by the school’s award-winning ensembles. He traveled to New York City to study voice with renowned vocal coach Don Lawrence. He performed at various venues and recording studios, television and radio shows in Philadelphia and New York before moving to Los Angeles and eventually Western Canada. He lived in Calgary, and Vancouver Island for eleven years and recorded his first CD of original music in 1991. The CD “Dancing with Strangers” was self-produced and was recorded in Nanaimo, B.C. and received airplay across Canada and the U.S. as well as Europe. He was named a winner in the first annual CKWX Songwriting Competition with a song of his entitled “Til I’m Holding You”, which he recorded on the “Winner’s Circle” CD for Musicline Records in Vancouver, B.C. From Canada, Bob moved to Nashville to further pursue his songwriting and performance career.
In 2005, he released his second CD of original material, entitled, “Before the Dawn” which was also self-produced and available online at itunes, Tarnius Music, CD Baby, and several other online vendors. Bob performs at venues around the entire Southeast U.S. now, playing for wedding receptions, dinners, corporate parties, house parties, anniversaries, birthdays, graduations. Bob plays a huge variety of music, from early big band to the present and is sure to please any audience with his music. He uses state-of-the-art sound equipment from Bose and Korg, and sequences his own rhythm accompaniment for a sound that is suitable for dancing as well as background for dining and cocktails.
